Is Exercise Essential For Weight Loss?
If you think clocking extra time at the Gym will help you work off too many Indulgent dinners, think again.
An international study provides compelling new evidence that exercise may not be the key to controlling weight.
Researchers studied young adults from the USA and four other countries found that physical activity and sedentary time were not associated with weight gain. “Our study results indicate that physical activity MAY NOT protect you from gaining weight” Said lead Author Lara Dugas, PHD, department of Public Health Sciences, Loyola University Chicago.
I know what you are all thinking what a load of hogwash …as exercise is so good for you and many people who are normally active then stop due to an injury or something do then pick up weight ….but let me explain further.
The Pro’s and Con’s To Exercising
Exercise has many proven health benefits, ranging from reducing the risk of heart disease, diabetes and cancer, to improving mental health and mood. People who are physically active tend to be healthier and live longer. However, while exercise burns calories, it also increases appetite. Because many people may compensate by eating more or being less active the rest of the day.
It is for this reason that the HCG Diet protocol is so beneficial as you will lose weight without any exercise at all. You can however if you are already very active continue to be so but those who have not been active need not exercise to lose the weight. There is absolutely no doubt that exercise is good for you as it produces endorphin’s which reduce stress, get the heart pumping and the blood flowing, so I am not advocating no exercise, I am just pointing out that exercise alone cannot normally help you lose weight unless you restrict what you eat.
I do however recommend some walking 15 or 20 mins a couple of times a week just for health reasons and not to achieve the weight loss you so desire. Leave that up to the HCG Diet.
