Cauliflower Pizza Crust
Pizza can now be healthy too! It is healthy, delicious, and yields many benefits.
Cauliflower contains the vitamins our bodies need and crave, like thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, omega-3s, and vitamin K.
It also serves as a good vegetable protein, phosphorous, and potassium source.
Ingredients
- Small head of cauliflower
- Tomato paste
- 40g low-fat mozzarella
- Herbs
- Egg
Directions
- Whizz the cauliflower in a food processor until you have made “cauliflower snow.”
- Place “snow” into microwave and cook
- Once cooked, allow it to cool completely, place it in a clean dishtowel and ring out all the moisture. It takes a little time, but this will make the base crispy!
- Once it looks dry, place it back in the bowl with herbs, garlic and whole egg and mix it up.
Flatten out the dough into a round base about 1/2cm to 1cm thick. - Place the base on a backing tray with backing paper, and cook until golden brown at 200 deg Celsius.
- Once cooked, add tomato base and toppings.
Enjoy!
